Multidisciplinary Research Building

This new multidisciplinary research facility accommodates about 200 researchers, faculty, students and staff in chemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry, medicinal chemistry, biology, molecular bioscience, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, geology and other natural sciences. The disciplines perform collaborative research in bioinformatics, drug discovery and nanoscience, among other fields. The building also includes a BSL-3 laboratory suite for work with hazardous organisms and pathogens, an environmentally stable isotope lab, a biochemistry lab for geological research, and Class 100, 1,000 and 10,000 clean room facilities for nanofabrication research.
