About The 411:

Built in 1905, the building was
the headquarters and central exchange
for the Kinloch Telephone Company,
a Bell Phone Company competitor.
In 1954, the Farm and Home Savings
and Loan Administration bought it and
covered the brick and terra cotta
façade with limestone panels. LoftWorks, the developer of The 411, tried to remove the limestone panels, but the original facade was damaged beyond repair.

Registered LEED Gold by the U.S. Green Building Council, The 411 features oversized insulated windows, sunshades with an internal light shelf on each window, sustainable materials used for finishes and an on-site recycling program. The building’s central location is within three blocks of essential services including a Post Office, library, pharmacy, grocery, dentist, book store, hair salon, car-sharing service, and several banks and bus stops. With two light rail stations within six blocks, and parking on the street and in nearby garages, we look forward to your visit to our new location.
