HERA WINS NEW PROJECTS
ST. LOUIS, MO – The national laboratory consulting firm Health, Education + Research Associates, Inc. (HERA) capped a successful year with the award of three new projects in the 4th quarter. HERA will serve as laboratory consultant as part of the Narmour Wright Creech design team for the University of North Carolina’s 200,000-square-foot Energy Production Infrastructure Center (EPIC) at Charlotte, North Carolina. The EPIC project includes laboratory research space to accommodate growth in energy infrastructure research and collaboration with industry partners.
HERA’s second win includes teaming with Ross & Baruzzini for laboratory design of shelled space located in an existing building at Millipore’s campus in Missouri Research Park in St. Charles, Missouri. The project will provide energy efficient BSL-2 laboratories and support space, and expanded offices, storage and a break room to accommodate program flexibility for the GPCR and Biopharma groups. The project gives Millipore a unique opportunity to build out existing space to provide a laboratory environment that meets Labs21 criteria, maximizes space, improves energy efficiency, and increases productivity.
The third award is for Architectural and Consulting Engineering services for the San Francisco Department of Public Works (DPW) Police Department Forensic Services Division and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. HERA will serve as lab consultant as part of Crime Lab Design, our strategic alliance with Harley Ellis Devereaux.
HERA is the only woman-owned business in the country specializing solely in laboratory programming, planning, and design services. Founded in 1996, the firm works with universities and academic medical centers, government agencies, and industry clients worldwide. HERA’s mission is to enhance scientific discovery and client productivity through the creation of optimal laboratory environments.
