HERA Promotes Two Associates

ST. LOUIS, MO – The national laboratory planning and design consulting firm Health, Education + Research Associates Inc. (HERA) is pleased to announce the promotion of two Associates from within the firm.

Portrait of Clay StaffordClay Stafford has been promoted to Associate after one year with HERA. Stafford joined HERA in 2006 as a senior laboratory programmer in Atlanta. With over 16 years’ experience, Stafford has focused on strategic and master planning, facility programming and planning, and is a specialist in the Problem Seeking® methodology. His strength lies in working closely with project stakeholders and user groups to establish project goals, evaluate needs, and identify requirements to be met by a design solution or business strategy. Stafford’s recent projects include strategic planning and programming for a new science building at Texas A&M University, Galveston, TX; the Department of Criminal Evidence Headquarters for the Kuwait Ministry of Interior; and a research laboratory at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA.

Portrait of Keith WhittleKeith Whittle, AIA has been promoted to Associate after joining HERA in 2006 as a senior project architect in St. Louis. Whittle brings over 20 years’ experience in design, documentation, and construction of programmatically and technically complex projects for academic, corporate, healthcare, and research facilities. Whittle’s recent experience includes serving as laboratory architect for renovation of the life science complex at the University of Pittsburgh and a new science and environmental building at Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA. Whittle was also responsible for writing laboratory specifications for new undergraduate teaching laboratories and support space in the science building at State Fair Community College in Sedalia, MO.
