Clinical Laboratory Renovation

Once considered state-of-the-art, the clinical labs at Temple University Hospital (TUH) required major updating in terms of equipment, work-flow processing and general renovation of the space. Specifically, HERA was contacted to address these issues and provide short and long term planning for their Core Lab, Surgical Pathology Lab and remote Specialty Labs.

The lab spaces had not been touched since the 1980’s era facility was constructed. The laboratories included facilities for:

  • Chemistry
  • Hematology
  • Microbiology
  • Immunology
  • Blood Bank
  • Surgical Pathology
  • Histology
  • Cytology
  • Autopsy
  • Immuno-Histochemistry

HERA is also assisting TUH in planning for an increase in HLA and Molecular Pathology services, and providing solutions for short term and CAP accreditation deficiencies, as well as long term planning issues.
