Viridis Laboratories

Straights Facilities Expansion and Renovation

Viridis Laboratories expanded operations and renovated their current facility to allow for increased analytical capabilities, including cannabis and infused food products testing.

Labs and support space within the building include an analytical lab, material accessioning, inspection, secured storage, homogenization lab, microbiology lab, heavy materials prep, instrument room and heavy metals instrument room.

Because of the sensitive nature of the testing within the facility, security within the building and around the site is of the utmost importance. Visitors are at a minimum, but Viridis incorporated a tour path for guests to view the facility and process via the stairs above the bio vestibule leading into an observation deck.

The building design is flexible and adaptable for future needs and technology, and it provides an inviting and collaborative work environment to employees. Equally important is creating an environment that instills confidence in future customers from the industry.

HERA created test layouts, environmental design criteria and schematic design scenarios to provide a framework and basis for moving forward with decisions and further design development.

Viridis Laboratories ensures the health and safety within the cannabis industry by testing cannabis products for potency and purity, and reports results of this testing to consumers, manufacturers and regulatory agencies.
