Biomedical Biological Sciences Research Building

The multidisciplinary building houses research efforts for biomedical/biological and medical/pharmacy sciences. Areas of research include biology, chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacology, immunology, anatomy, physiology, neuroscience, and cardiovascular. HERA designed generic laboratory space to accommodate multiple users in an open planning concept of benches and services with access to shared equipment and lab support. Support areas include spaces for tissue culture, cold rooms, major instrumentation, and specialty areas such as a for BSL-3 containment area. The ground floor is devoted to a large vivarium (30,000 gsf) as well as an imaging suite for high sensitivity microscopes.
