The expansion and reconstruction of the Medical Science Building provided instructional and research laboratory facilities for basic medical sciences and health sciences programs. The Research Wing (Phase 1) houses 41 research labs, lab support spaces, graduate student offices, faculty offices, a BSL-3 suite, and multi-species vivarium. The lower level houses the gross anatomy lab, morgue, multi-specie vivarium with ABLS-3, and microbiology instructional lab. The Medical Education Wing (Phase 2) is designed for collaborative interaction and includes teaching labs, classrooms, and clinical examination suites.
